Before You Write

A few things that come up often — these may save you a round-trip email:

• Translation accuracy. The translator on the homepage uses a free third-party translation service (MyMemory). It is meant for everyday, informal use. For legal, medical, or official documents, please use a professional human translator.
• Character limit. The homepage translator accepts up to 5,000 characters per request.
• Languages. We currently cover English to Spanish and Spanish to English only.
• No accounts, no sign-up. The site is free to use and does not require registration.
• Stored data. Text you enter into the translator is sent to the MyMemory API for translation; we do not keep a copy of it on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What We Cannot Help With

We are a small reference website. We do not offer one-to-one tutoring, graded homework help, certified translation services, or customer-support work on behalf of other companies. If you need a certified translation for an official purpose (visas, court documents, contracts), please use a qualified professional translator.

Reporting an Error

If you find a mistranslation, a broken link, a typo, or a factual issue in one of our guides, please include the page URL in your email. That makes it much faster for us to locate and fix the problem.
